Doncaster Business for the Community awarded the Des Rankine Soccer School £500.00 to help support its work with the young people in Doncaster.

The Soccer School provides football coaching and skills training to youngsters in parts of Intake, Wheatley and Hyde Park, Doncaster. Des runs the sessions at Doncaster College for the Deaf and they are well attended. The Soccer School has financial demands to meet, with the costs of, amongst other items, pitch fees, kit and equipment and the financial challenges have, at times, risked the future of the Soccer School.

“This donation from Doncaster Business for the Community helps secure our immediate future. The youngsters who attend learn skills, stay healthy, make friends and improve their confidence. It gives them a sense of pride and belonging and I am keen that this continues.”
